All Cait + Co bath bombs use ingredients that are not only safe for your skin, but also boost your skin’s health and wellbeing. Here is a complete list of ingredients you’ll find in each of our signature bath bombs.

Coconut Milk Powder

We want your bath to feel as relaxing and nourishing as possible, and coconut milk powder helps make that dream a reality. Coconut milk powder not only hydrates your skin, it reduces acne and inflammation and soothes irritation.

We use coconut milk powder instead of liquid to help our bath bombs retain their shape and form - too much liquid and the bomb will just fall apart! Don’t worry, though—coconut milk powder has all the same benefits as its more well-known liquid form.

Coconut Oil

We add coconut oil to our bath bombs to make your relaxing soak even more gentle. Like coconut milk, coconut oil moisturizes your skin — which helps balance out the drying effect that hot bath water can have. Talk about powerful!

Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking soda)

Baking soda is an essential ingredient for our bath bombs. It reacts with citric acid (another one of the ingredients we use) to give each bath bomb that fun fizzle as it dissolves (which, by the way, is definitely one of the best parts about using bath bombs).

Baking soda also boasts several skin benefits — it gives it a healthy glow, fights acne and infections, and helps remove dead skin cells. Who knew that a popular cookie ingredient could be so good for your skin?!

Citric Acid

Citric acid and baking soda neutralize one another to create the fizzy effect you see when you drop our bath bombs in the tub. And don’t let the word “acid” scare you; citric acid is totally safe for all skin types! In fact, it’s even a food safe ingredient - citric acid is the yummy sour stuff on some of your favorite candies!

Adosonia Gregoril (Cream of Tartar)

Along with citric acid and baking soda, cream of tartar helps give our bath bombs their signature fizzy effect when they hit the water. This food safe ingredient is a byproduct of the wine-making process (yum) and is used a lot in baking, but it’s also a wonderful skin-loving ingredient! Cream of tartar has anti-microbial properties that can help calm skin, so it makes bath bombs both fun and functional! Win-win!

Polysorbate 80

We all know that oil and water don’t mix, and that’s where polysorbate 80 comes in. Polysorbate 80 allows the fragrance oils to disperse more evenly and beautifully into your bath water.

It also keeps the colors from our bath bombs from clinging to your tub (and your skin), because as much as we love to indulge in a colorful bath, dealing with a stained tub afterwards would definitely be the opposite of relaxing!

Fragrance

We add only the highest quality fragrances to bring you just the right amount of soothing aroma you can’t help but breathe deep and enjoy. The scent of your bath bomb will vary depending on which one you purchase, but they’re all swoon-worthy and totally skin-friendly!

Red, Blue, and Yellow Dyes

Did you know that bath bombs are white-colored unless you add dye? Boring! Fortunately, our skin-safe dyes allow for a joyful and colorful bath experience.
