About Cait + Co.
What all started as a soapmaking kit and a dream has launched itself into what is now known as Cait + Co. Here is A note from our founder.
Revive Bath & Body was a dream I had in 2010. Being slightly obsessed with natural soaps, I made my first batch using a soap making kit my mom got me for Christmas. I was instantly hooked. I researched and read everything I could get my hands on that had to do with soapmaking.
I started college at Kennesaw State University in the Fall of 2010. Having just started selling soaps, I knew I wanted to study business. I learned to sell my soaps and other products at local markets on the weekends to earn money that I would put towards school. After four years of hard work, I graduated in May 2014 with no student loans!
As my life was going down many different paths in college, I knew Revive had a deeper meaning than just selling natural soaps at farmer's markets. The name Revive means to restore to life or consciousness. "Renew. Restore. Revive." became a new slogan I started using with my company in 2013. What were we renewing, restoring, and reviving?
That's why in the spring of 2014, we partnered with a local organization called HavenATL to provide job skills for women exiting the trafficking trade in Atlanta, GA. We worked with Haven from 2014-2016.
Cait + Co was launched in November of 2016 as an umbrella company to Revive, Luxe, and our new line Urban Wick. The purpose and goal of Cait + Co is to create, buy, and sell products with a purpose.
As we move into 2017, we have taken a new partnership with the Lovin' Soap Project. The LSP helps provide soapmaking and entrepreneurship skills to women in developing nations. Providing people with resources, otherwise not available to them, to jumpstart a business is such a dream of mine. Whether it be abroad or here in Atlanta, my passion is supporting other artisans in their entrepreneur walk.
On a more personal level, I cannot wait to see where the next year take us. A big THANK YOU to all who have supported this soapy dream along the way, including people who help me set up for farmer's markets, bought my products, friends who supported my business with their photography and marketing skills, my professors at KSU who encouraged me, all the people who have sat down to ask me the hard stuff, to the ones who helped me package and label products late into the night, and to my friends who let me vent about everything, even if they don't understand what in the world I'm talking about...I couldn't have done this without you! So thank you, 2017, here we come!
